Super Scraps Saturday - HIMCR #153

Happy Saturday! How fun it is to be back with a card for Super Scraps Saturday at Hiding in my Craft Room. This is one of my favorite challenges, and today I have a card featuring paper from our sponsor Paper Temptress.

Paper Temptress is giving away
 a $25 gift certificate
to one lucky winner

Gorgeous metallic papers travelled all the way to Honduras from Paper Temptress and may I say, they truly are great quality. For today's project I used their Candido Incandescent, which has a subtle golden shimmer and lineal texture that makes it look rich and elegant. In 'real life' it looks like a creamy white, just beautiful!

Materials
Paper Temptress:
Candido Incandescent
Leather Textured
Classic Linen
Vellum
ODBD Stamps - Faith, Butterfly
Dies - Spellbinders: Fancy Lattice, A2 Matting Basics A, Adorning Squares, Rose Creations. Xcut: Leafy Flourishes
Haj Design Paper - Vibrant Vintage
Brilliance pigment ink used to emboss
Inkadinkado embossing powder in glam gold
Zap! heat tool
Merletto Pearls and crystals
Adhesives: Bazic two sided tape and foam tape, Elmer's Glue All, Stanley 14 watts glue gun
Other generic materials
3/8" gross grain ribbon in tan/light brown
2" one sided lace
Double end pearl stamens in pink Pearl string beads in cream
Vintage button in gold

Besides the Incandescent paper I also used some other papers from my stash, but, Paper Temptress carries those textures. You can find them linked above on the list of materials, so you can check them out.

Because this card is made of scraps (except for the card base), all the elements were added as harmoniously as possible to create a shabby chic design. I made a bouquet, blooming from the top of the the card's front, and worked the rest around it. I added many embellishments that complement nicely the floral vintage look I was trying to achieve. Finally, a heat embossed sentiment and butterfly from ODBD stamps complete the design.

I hope you have enjoyed today's post, and that you feel inspired to join this week's challenge at Hiding in my Craft Room. All you need to do is visit the blog, follow instructions and link up your creation. Let's get rid of these scraps people! :D

Tomorrow I'll be back with new projects and a tutorial, stop by if you can. Have a great day!

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic...
